When Ryan von Bergheim initially wanted to set up his 21st Century Classroom for his year 6 students he encountered both resistance and enthusiastic support from students, parents and teachers.

Now a few years in, the re-modeled classroom and its operations has universal support and has dramatically changed the way students interact and learn.

About the Presenters

Ryan von Bergheim

Ryan has been teaching in Western Australia since 2007. He is assistant Principal at St Thomas' Primary School in Claremont, WA. He also teaches Year 6. Ryan is a Key Teacher, as well as being a Digital Learning Exemplary Educator for Catholic Education Western Australia. Teaching is his passion and the job he was born to do. Digital Learning is an interest of his and area of expertise, including contemporary learning spaces and integration of iPads into the classroom for creative purposes.

Eric Torres

Eric is both a founder and one of the directors at ITdynamics. Eric specialises in the Information Systems space of Information Technology. Eric has a passion for the growth of the Information Technology industry within Australia. He currently sits on the Executive Committee for the Australian Computer Society and has also been a judge for the WAITTA Incite awards (WA Computer Industry Awards). Eric has worked with in many industries within the IT profession but is most passionate about the Education sector.

Nathan Fonceca

Nathan is both a founder and one of the directors at ITdynamics. Nathan specialises in the network engineering space of Information Technology. He has developed his IT skills whilst working in many sectors including mining, medical and education. Being a former IT manager of a Western Australian high school and having worked with dozens of primary schools, Nathan has had much to do with the implementation of technologies within schools. Nathan finds it most rewarding when he sees users excited with the use of new technologies.
