This FREE one day workshop is specific for Co-ordinators and Teachers of STEM in the classroom.
Delivered by It’s Rocket Science Adventures, qualified science educators will provide Teachers the rare opportunity to experience the exciting field of rocketry, with Teachers conducting experiments - not just observing a demonstration.
Australia's only water rocket specialists will offer a variety of exhilarating and exclusive water rocket adventures, cross-pollinating STEM subjects, allowing Teachers to escape the mundane and be empowered in a real-world environment. This workshop will make rocket science fun and achievable. Teachers will be motivated with the thrill of building and flying bottle rockets filled with compressed air and water, over 60 metres into the air! This action-packed adventure will help inspire curiosity, bring the wonder of discovery and the exploration of the science behind rockets, flight and space into the classroom.
It’s Rocket Science Adventures will take Teachers through two fully interactive project based workshops; “Go For Altitude” and an all-weather option “Rocket Race Cars”. These workshops are a replication of the workshops that It’s Rocket Science Adventures delivers to students. Ultimately, the aim of each program is designed to provide a live extension to the classroom, where students can be challenged in a real world environment to create, predict, observe and evaluate the performance of their individual rocket. Students will be encouraged to engage with ideas beyond the familiar. Students will not encounter this experience from any smart device.
It’s Rocket Science Adventures emphasise that science can be better understood through its practice.
The program offered by It’s Rocket Science Adventures is specifically mapped to the Australian Curriculum for Science, Maths and Design Technologies. There are 3 different levels of incursion:
